As most of you already know, I am a huge fan of the brand Glossier. In fact, I have so many of their cult products, it’s almost unnecessary… but seriously. Throughout 2017, Glossier has evolved as a brand and have launched a wide range of new products throughout the year. They have even branched out into new areas of the beauty industry. They have everything from a new SPF Sunscreen Invisible Shield, to their first powder product Wowder, And of course more recently their first fragrance Glossier You.
Although, the launch heard around the world was that of Glossier’s very own Body Hero. The duo contains the Daily Oil Wash and the Daily Perfecting Cream these items can be purchased either together in the duo or individually. This launch was complete with billboards that accompanied skylines across Manhattan. Glossier’s team set out to spread a major body positivity message. Featuring nude photos of real women, of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I must say, naturally this just solidified why I stand behind the brand so much. This campaign was one that not only made me want to try out the product but also made me feel like this was made for real women. Women who just like me, are always running late, and want to feel a bit of luxury without the lavish bath setup or the hefty price tag.
I purchased the duo since it not only qualified me for free shipping, but it also saved me about $5. At first, the idea of using an oil body wash seemed rather bonkers to me. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from that. But after much consideration the scent was so calming it began to grow on me. A little background on my skin is that I have naturally dry and sensitive skin. Some cleansers can really irritate my skin and have even made my skin develop a mild rash at times. I have been using the daily oil cleanser for about a month now, and honestly, I can’t see myself going back to a basic body wash. My skin feels fresh, and not as dry as it used to be.
Overall I’d say, it totally worth it to try both products out and see how they work for you.
