Many women out there struggle with commitment when it comes to proper hair care mane-tinance. Whether it is trying to find the perfect stylist to tame that mane, or finding products that work best for your hairs texture. Finding the perfect hair care routine is a mission within itself. Here is my journey and how I came across a few products that have definitely changed the way I feel about my hair care routine.
After years of attempting to tame my dry damaged ends, I finally decided to ditch my basic hair care routine. By embarking on the hunt to update my daily hair care regime. Now this routine has basically consisted your typical shampoo and conditioner about 3-4 days a week. As well as the occasional cut and style, about every few months. And yes, I know. One should be regularly getting trims throughout the year as proper maintenance suggests. However, the fact that I have naturally kinky, curly/wavy hair, makes managing the day to day hair care routine rather difficult.
I’ve never been one of those girls who pride themselves on having immaculate hair. And though we’d all love to be the one can wash and wear her hair out the door. I’m the other girl. Yes, the girl; who typically goes through about 4 different hair dressers per year amount of hair Some may even say that I could possibly have a few commitment issues with regards to maintaining a hair stylist. I just feel that I personally haven’t found the right stylist or holy grail routine that has been capable of making me feel like my best self.
Although, I am still on the hunt for the perfect hairstylist to manage my hair. I have come across a few products out there that have inspired me to practice proper hair care. Listed below are a few items in which I have incorporated into my daily hair care regimen regularly. That have made my hair more manageable and fresh! Let me know down in the comments, if you’ve tried any of these products, and how they’ve worked for you!
For shampoo and conditioner, I’ve switched to The Kristen Ess signature Shampoo, and The Kristen Ess Signature Conditioner. Kristen Ess is a world

As for my leave-in conditioner, The Briogeo Rosarco Milk leave-in conditioner. This leave-in conditioner is one of those products that you don’t necessarily think you need until you try it. I received it one time in a Fab Fit Fun Box and was immediately taken by the product. The product retails for $20 and though that may seem a little steep for a product that just sits in your damp hair before you style. I find that it hydrates my ends, which tend to be the driest part of my hair.
My dry shampoo of choice is the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day d
This however, may be a little “Extra” for some people, but I personally enjoy incorporating a good hair oil to my routine. Jen Atkin, another celebrity hairstylist launched her own hair care line about a year ago call OUAI. She has developed a wide range of products that incorporate cult favorites like her OUAI dry texturizing Spray, dry shampoo, and wave spray. Though, I have used a good chunk of her products over the years. The one that I continuously keep repurchasing is the OUAI hair oil. Retailing at about $28, but trust me there is a legitimate reason as to why I keep repurchasing this product. This hair oil not only works for damaged ends, but it also works as a heat protectant before you style. Sometimes I even take a very small amount and apply it to areas that need a little pick me up. Plus, at 1.5 oz. a little can go a long way.
